Hello, and thanks for your
interest in my martial arts training tools.
My swords were designed with
the invaluable assistance of the senior instructors of the Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts (AEMMA), for
the sole purpose of
providing their students with a durable, safe training tool which
handled and resembled as closely as possible its Medieval forebear. To
that extent, they are replicas of their actual medieval counterparts in
most every functional aspect. They are archetypal representations - the
typical sword of their times in both appearance and handling. Utmost
consideration has been given to 'the feel' of the sword.
I now make three models; the 'I.33' arming sword, the 'Liberi' long sword,
and the NEW 'Lichtenaur' long sword. Although their names imply the main use
for which they were designed, they will serve well in related arts, as their
dimensions are broadly typical.

- Unfinished steel fittings (visible but clean and safe welds and rivets)
with choice of pommel 2 or 4
The following options modify the cost as shown:
- Finished fittings (polished, invisible welds and rivets) - add $40
- Gun-blued fittings (on either finished or unfinished fittings)
- add $15
- Beveled blade - add $15
- Tuned blade (diamond section with fuller) - add $45
- Pommel 1 - add $50

welds and rivets) with choice of pommel 2, 4 or 5

rivets) with a scent stopper pommel (choice 5).
The following options modify the cost as shown:

Considerations
- Beveling of either sword's blade is offered primarily as an aesthetic
option. While it does have a slight effect upon the weight, flexibility and
balance of the sword, that benefit is bought at the greater expense of the
sword-edge's durability.
- Tuning of the I.33's blade has a significant effect upon the sword's agility
and flexibility, lightening the blade by two ounces and moving the centre of
balance about a half-inch closer to the guard (it also looks pretty spiff).
HOWEVER, this has a significant effect upon the durability of the blade. Not
only do the edges wear faster, but the blade is more likely to take a kink
through use. This could shorten the lifespan of the sword.
